I have been practising yoga for almost 25 years and graduated as a yoga teacher from the Bushey School of Yoga (200 hours) with the wonderful Ellen Lee. I discovered early on how deeply supportive and enriching yoga could be and continues to be in my everyday life, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

 

I share a gentle, holistic and restorative Hatha yoga practice, with physical postures alongside meditation and relaxation. I create a calm and happy space in which students are encouraged to unwind, stretch out and nourish themselves - acknowledging and reconnecting with who they are, honestly and lovingly. Students learn to gradually develop flexibility and confidence, strength and ease of movement; steadiness and stillness within mind, body and soul. I describe yoga as a process of self-enquiry, a choice to explore thoughts and feelings, greater awareness of breath and contemplation of ancient philosophy. My classes are an opportunity to consciously slow down and come in to the present moment - potential for lightness, gratitude, joy and peace within. I'm proud to call myself very much a student too, my love of learning & intention to contemplate & expand within my mind & heart space. 

Much of what I share & offer is inspired by the spiritual teachings of Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass & Melody Beattie. Above all, they continue to remind me to enquire, feel & teach from my heart, the most authentic & beautiful way. I am hugely grateful to them.

 

Pre COVID, I taught weekly Indoor & Group yoga classes in Shenley, Hertfordshire & surrounding areas & also on residential weekends and workshops. Since March 2020, I have been teaching on Skype or Zoom or in person depending on government guidelines & delighted to have introduced my Indoor Group class at Shenley Village Hall. I am invited to teach online group classes for the Yoga for Health Foundation (YHET) and during the year, a Well-Being session for office staff and then a yoga session at a Mindfulness Retreat. I am a member of the Independent Yoga Network (IYN) and Continued Professional Development includes training on Yoga for Mental Health, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Looking after your Heart, The Pranas, Inner Sense Yoga, Yoga & Digestion & an introduction to Yoga Therapy for CFS, Burnout & Long Covid.

 

My family, friendship, music, art, dancing, lipstick, reading, walking in nature and gardening are hugely special to me too, come rain or shine!
